It has been no secret that South-East Queensland is a booming area for home buyers.
The Sunshine State is synonymous with retirees wanting to live out their golden years by the beach, in the tropics with the beautiful climate, but it’s actually young families who are leading this property boom!
When compared to Sydney and Melbourne, you really do get more bang for your buck, and looking at interstate migration levels, the demand for new housing is there.
According to the new Domain Queensland Spotlight Report, Millennials, and Gen Z are buying from out of state seeking more affordability, space, and a better quality of life especially with more remote job opportunities
The report also shows that buyers are seeking stand-alone homes, ideally 4 bedrooms close to the beach and with room for a pet. The top areas being Noosa Hinterland, Noosa, Maroochydore, Namour, Buderim, Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Nerang, Broadbeach-Burleigh, Coolangatta, and Mudgeeraba-Tallebudgera.
Queensland has been steadily growing for years now and with the current boom, record-breaking growth, and low supply to satisfy demand in Sydney and Melbourne, it’s no surprise that Queensland has become a popular option for young families wanting to make their money stretch.
